Horrible Forest

When I was in the fourth grade I had a nightmare that I remember still now. I was lost in the pine forest behind Sue’s house, where I went to daycare after school and in the summer. I stepped cautiously between dry trunks. There was a steep hill that extended forever in all directions and a claustrophobic canopy of needles. I wandered alone, forever, until I awoke.

I recently had the honor to do a bunch of spot illustrations for GayRVA.com’s first print issue of G Magazine. Here are my two favorites:

 

River Bar – this was an illustration for a poll about favorite spots for brunch drinks. The answer to the poll illustrated here was The James River.
